Maker Faire NoVa 2018

March 18, 2018 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
George Mason University
4400 University Dr
Fairfax, VA 22030

The Faire brings together an amazing collection of tech enthusiasts, engineers, woodworkers, metal workers, auto hackers, artists, teachers, and craftspeople from all over the northern virginia, Metro DC area and beyond! The Maker Faire gives our local makers a chance to show us and tell us about what they’re making. There will also be tons of hands on activities where you can learn how to make this stuff yourself!

From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, the Maker Faire provides an opportunity for Makers to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. Tagged “The Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth,” this glimpse of the future and inspiration is a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. At Maker Faire NoVa more than 150 makers will share their knowledge through hands-on projects, demonstrations, workshops and a speaker series in the areas of engineering, science, art, robotics, drones, biology, 3D printers and more. Area students, schools and public libraries will also share how making and innovation occurs in education.

The faire will be spread over three buildings and outdoor space in between at George Mason University – MIX@Fenwick, Johnson Center and the Hub.
