On Thursday, September 19, Urbana will celebrate the Italian-American Feast of San Gennaro with prosecco and Peroni specials, a screening of the 1996 classic Big Night, and a themed menu from Executive Chef Ethan McKee. Guests may enjoy dishes inspired by the film a la carte or as a four-course tasting menu for $65. Specialty dishes include:

  • Zuppa di Pesce with lobster, shrimp, calamari, mussels, and fregola
  • Trio of Risotto – basil pesto, truffle parmesan, and tomato risottos
  • Timpano stuffed with fennel sausage, pork meatballs, ‘nduja, tomato, and tallegio
  • Zeppole – doughnuts with cinnamon and Nutella ice cream

Urbana’s Feast of San Gennaro will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, with a screening of Big Night playing throughout the evening. The event is free and open to the public. Reservations for dinner are recommended and can be made by calling 202.956.6650 or visiting www.urbanadc.com.

Dacha Navy Yard presents Oktoberfest Weihenstephan from September 21 through October 6. Visit Dacha every Saturday and Sunday to kick off autumn with festivities full of seasonal brews and fall surprises. The annual Oktoberfest festival marks a joyful time to come together with friends and family while enjoying a delicious, crisp Festbier from the oldest brewery in the world, Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan, paired with a pretzel or two, and enough sausages and sauerkraut for all. Dacha will kick off  celebrations exactly at noon on Saturday, September 21 by tapping an authentic oak barrel directly from the Vaterland in the 700-person beer garden, bringing communities from all over the region for three consecutive weekends, to celebrate the delight of Bavaria here in Washington.

Join the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood for authentic sounds from the brass band, lederhosen and dirndl outfits from all of DC’s die-hard beer lovers, unique event programming, collectible swag from baby onesies, t-shirts, Dacha 2019 beer stein and more. Dacha has partnered with some of DC’s favorite organizations like DC Fray, Washington Blade, Capitol Riverfront, and The Office of the Mayor to assure a fantastic DC Oktoberfest celebration.
