DC Duck Race
Saturday, April 30
Rubber ducky you’re the one! The DC Rotary Club is hosting an inaugural duck race to raise funds for the Rotary Club and community organizations. Sponsor a duck and you can race it on a closed course on the Anacostia river.  There will be prizes for the speediest ducks, music, food, artists and more. Get all the info at www.dcduckrace.org

Vinofest Wine & Music Festival
Saturday, May 7
VinoFest Wine and Music Festival is back for another great year of wine and tunes and this time they’re taking the action to Yards Park. The day features over 20 international and Virginia wineries plus a food pavilion curated by Emporiyum.  The lineup includes Jon Batiste and Stay Human, The Original Wailers and Rare Essences. www.vinofest.cofor tickets and details.

Tour de Fat
Saturday, May 21
Bikes meet beer in the traveling circus that is Tour de Fat.  Featuring a costumed bike parade, killer live music and of course, plenty of New Belgium brews. The festival is dedicated to promoting bikes as a more sustainable means of transportation and they take it seriously, so seriously in fact, there is a celebration of the car-for-bike swapper series, a program in which people swap their keys for a commitment to commute by bike. Rockin’ the Block Concert Series
Wednesdays in June, July, August
Canal park presents a new take on the “front porch” concert. Concerts take place at the Canal Park middle block stage on a Wednesday of each summer month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature great bands, food and beverages from neighborhood restaurants, games, and more. DC JazzFest

DC JazzFest returns to Yards Park for three days of amazing music. Wiener 500 Oktoberfest

Kick off Oktoberfest at DC’s silliest Oktoberfest celebration. Watch Germany’s canine ambassadors race for glory and enjoy cold beer from the Sam Adams biergarten.
