If you're not from the area then you may not have heard of the annual High Heel Race that happens in DuPont Circle the last Tuesday before Halloween. No, this isn't a crowd of hot girls in heels. It's a crowd of intoxicated, fabulously-dressed men in heels sprinting through the streets. Watch participants parade around for about two hours before the 15-minute race begins at around 9 p.m. at 17th Street between P and S Streets NW. This is certainly an unusual event for a city better known for rules and regulations, so be sure to check it out to get the whole D.C. cultural experience.
